>> kron4's storm team coverage continues now. haaziq madyun in the east bay - where rain soaked means more fallen trees. rob fladeboe is in the santa cruz mountains - crews there cleaning up a massive mudslide. but first - if you were commuting today - it was no picnic -especially on the golden gate bridge. maureen kelly has more from the north bay. check out the heavy fog that shrods the three car collision. the chp says just after 8am a southbound driver of a volkswagon gti.which sent that car across northbound lanes smashing into a honda civic. it's unclear at this time which driver involved in the initial collision crossed over into oncoming lanes. the collision sent debris across lanes in both the morning commute was massive. here you can see the gridlock on the northbound lanes.all of which was closed for nearly an hour. and while you can see some cars getting thru on the southbound side in this video those lanes were also completely closed several times in order to tow trucks access to the scene. cars stalled out.during the wait, which prolonged the congestion. the backup made many driversbites all three drivers suffered >> "i'd say about 30 or 40 feet" and all forty feet of this huge acacia tree came crashing down over the weekend during the recent stormlanding on top of this ()sot)á "we arrived on the house" >> amazinglywhat you see here >> is the only damage the home suffered held up" held upwith this enormouse roof of this home ()chain saw)á

news room sunday dikes sunny--he has just been named their new head coach. there are multiple reports that sonny dikes.. when tedford... was fired earlier this year. >> investigators say a multimillion-dollar burglary operation has been san francisco police say they've busted a burglary ring... and they've recovered here's just some of what they found.

investigators say a multimillion dollar auto more than a thousand electronic devices have been recovered. kron 4's j.r. stone is following the story and has more from fisherman's wharf. three people were arrested two are still in jail. police say it was parking garage in fisherman's wharf that helped catch them. vo as to the stolen goods that were recovered. more than a 100 cell phones. more than 75 laptops. 32-thousand dollars in cash. jewlery and cameras were recovered as well. in total more than a thousand electronic devices valued at half a million dollars are now with police. officers part of a larger ring that is still going on in san francisco and a couple other locations in the bay area. the district attorney says thieves beware. sot >> we want to make sure that there are going to be significant consequences if you come to the city and plan on doing any crime. >> vocont these are the three suspects who were arrested. henry gamboa, victor gamboa, and ana bastillos. all three in their early 20's. police say if you have had electronics stolen here in san francisco you can go to their web site to see photos of the items recovered. they are working to get these items back to the original owners san francisco, j. r. stone, kron 4 news. >>pam: gary atkinson, the man charged with kidnapping, raping and beating a 16- year-old at-risk girl appeared in court today. he was arraigned on

charges of rape, kidnapping, lewd acts upon a child, and attempted lewd acts upon a child. atkinson has previously been convicted of several felonies including robbery and assault with a deadly weapon. >> a shoooting near lake merritt in oakland left four people injured. the shooting happeend just after 10 p-m last night after an arguement between two groups of people went from bad to worse. members of one of the groups went back to the area and opened fire. three people were hit. and a 60-year-old man walking to a store two blocks away was also hit. all four are expected to recover. police are trying to confirm what sparked the dispute. >> jason dejesus and chanelle troedson were arrested in jose....after they lured a repairman to their home where they beat and held him against his will for several hours, the repairman was able to escape his captors when the two suspects stopped for gas and snacks at a gas station. the victim ran to a

newspaper had of the coverage. this happened in the subway station in midtown manhattan on monday this 58 year-old husband and father was shoved onto the tracks. new-york city police have their suspect. 30 year- old davis is a panhandler implicated himself when questioned. they spotted him on a surveillance video. witnesses say the problem began with this argument between the men. it is not clear what they were upset about davis is telling the man to leave him alone. he shoved this korean immigrant onto the trucks. he stood by as the man was run by the short run over. >> i know that they were arguing with each other he was trying to clear the trade before the train. >> people were standing in fear and shock. he was trying to clear the --

looking like? >> yes. it is very different out there this evening because we have hardly any rainfall continuing. as we take a look at the stormtracker 4 radar. mostly clear with the exception of highway 1 0 1 and near morgan hill. a bit of light rain over the el diablo range. some weather cells indicated by the yellow on your screen. the yellow showing rainfall pressing to the south and clear conditions as of this system's pushes through. however, fog in portions of the bay iraq now and expected for tomorrow morning. >> with to our delays at sfo because of the fog. i think that we could also see some delays with its right now, two hours of delays at s f

waldman, s f o, kron 4 news. >>pam: chain saws were buzzing in richmond...as tree removers were busy there removing this huge acacia tree from on top of this home on during the recent storm. >> benicia, vallejo, it has been a lot of rainy season trees. we are going to continue to see the damage and we cannot stop. >>pam: in fact, the tree removers received another call regarding a downed tree during that interview.. in the santa cruz mountains, vine hill road is now open again.. that's after being closed following a mudslide last sunday. a steady rain fell, as crews worked for a 3rd- straight day to re-open a single lane across the 60- foot -long slide area. a permanent fix could take months, and that has residents worried... because winter is just beginning and there is already a back-log of road repairs... dating back two years or more. >> the department of public works has been cut by 60-70
